Summer is almost over already (sniff), and with it goes all of the summer fun. I’ll miss the pool, the beach, the smell of freshly cut grass, and of course the sight of my hubby jumping backwards as flames shoot out of the top of the grill. I also love the smell of burgers on the grill, but after a while the same old burger can get kind of boring. So last weekend, I decided to spice mine up a bit:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bunch of green onions, chopped (separate greens)
- 1 T cilantro
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- salt and pepper to taste
- Mix all ingredients except for the chopped green onion leaves (“chives”). Divide into 4-5 equal pieces and roll into balls; press into burgers.
- Toss on the grill.
- Top with chives (ranch dressing goes well too!)
